Resistance 3 Beta To Start Next Week!!

Early this morning Insomniac Games lifted the lid on the Resistance 3 Beta schedule via Twitter. A post on the company’s website states: “We are launching our Friends and Family beta next week in order to test our servers out before the mad rush of public beta users from SOCOM 4 and EU PlayStation Plus”.
Those in North America with early access vouchers from SOCOM 4 will be given access to the beta in early August. PlayStation Plus subscribers in SCEE territories will also be given access at the same time.
Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, Resistance 3 is the fourth title in the Resistance series, that is if you count Resistance: Retribution on the PSP. The final game is expected to release on 6 September in North America and 9 September in the EU.

PSN Pass??

The image of the upcoming 320GB Resistance 3 PS3 bundle included a strange label on its box. The stamp of "PSN PASS" is labeled on it with sub-caption "Network features only available in countries that have PlayStation Store."

What could this be? Something similar to EA Online Pass? New subscription fee? or just something lost in translation (euro pic).

Sony in test phase of new PSN Store Make over :RUMOUR:

Rumour has it that Sony is revamping their Online store to something a little more eye-catching. It is said that the PlayStation store is a little too text-heavy and Sony is looking to change that. They are currently testing a more "Xbox Live" or "Steam" type storefront that de-clutters the screen using, what inside sources call "an aesthetic layout with logically marked sections and rolodex lists".
The revamped PSN will include a live search method with results appearing as users enter characters rather than head off to a separate text-entry page.
The movies section will be overhauled to a IMDB-style database. When you select a film, for example, key details appear on the right of the screen, such as leading actors. Clicking through will take you to the actor's page, where you can see all of their movies.
Same thing goes for games. They will be categorized by genre, publisher, developer and so on.
Sony is also starting up a new 'Deals of the Week' section making it easier for the end-user to find current items on-sale.
No time-frame has been given for this update, and this is all rumor as of yet. Who knows, they might be testing out a PSN Store for the PS4...........

LIMBO coming to PS3 this July!

The Dark and Cryptic side-scrolling adventure from Denmark's Playdead studio is coming to the PSN sometime this July. Having been out on Xbox for a while, we PS3 gamers finally get to have a taste of this Dark Gem!
Check out the Trailer!

Duke Nukem Forever.. Why all the hate??

I really don't understand all the bad reviews for this game. I mean, I haven't played the full game yet, I just tried the demo that was released on Tuesday, but, I have to say, it's really making me want to pick up the full game.
Granted, I've grown up playing Duke and totally understand why some people who have never played before would find this not as great.
It no reality shooter... its just pure fun.
The demo made me laugh so much and reminded me of the old school Duke and how much fun I had playing that.
Anyway, everyone out there, give Nukem a chance or he'll "...Rip off your head and shit down your neck!"......... COME GET SOME!

Batman: Arkham City - Final Box Art Revealed

The box art cover to the much anticipated Arkham Asylum sequel, Batman: Arkham City has been revealed by Warner Brothers today.
I personally was looking for something a lot more impacting and powerful. This cover just seems to be Batman in a generic "Super Hero" pose atop a gargoyle over looking the city.
Whatever.. if the actual game is anything like the first, this should be a launch purchase for many Dark Knight fans and PS3 gamers.
